What is it?

 

Emergency First Response teaches people how to provide emergency care for someone in need and is based on internationally recognised medical guidelines.

 

 

Can anyone do it? Are there any pre-requisites?

 

Anyone interested in learning emergency care may take this course regardless of age and is therefore open to divers and non divers to participate.

 

 

What does the course entail?

 

The course is performance based and is divided into three segments:

 

1. Knowledge development – using the Emergency First Response Participant Manual and watching a DVD
2. Skill development
3. Scenario practice
