Ian and Carole (two of our first four students) are now getting excited about their forthcoming Maldives trip and eagerly await the shiny new equipment they have ordered from us.

Congratulations also to Amy who won her school's Fenwick Challenge Award and chose to do a Snorkel and Scuba experience with us, below is a brief extract of her report for the school magazine.

"My instructor was called Sue and she was just fantastic! We started the session with some information about how all the equipment for snorkelling and scuba work and fit together. It is really important for safety to check everything very carefully. Then we got into the pool and started with lots of snorkelling games to get me used to wearing the snorkel and mask and to practise getting around the pool. I even had an underwater egg and spoon race!"

Premier Update

24th November 2008

Congratulations to Julian for recently passing his EFR course and also achieving his Rescue Diver certification. It wasn’t the warmest of weekends at Ellerton Park where we did the Rescue course but I’m sure Julian will admit, maybe with a touch of hindsight, that it was both hard work and a lot of fun. Thanks also to all the willing victims, particularly Lou and Chris, who selflessly played the tired, panicked and obviously very unlucky divers over the two days. Despite their undoubted acting skills (we had to remind a few passers-by this was only a training exercise) all of our “bodies” were ably rescued, de-kitted and resuscitated by Julian. Fancy starting your Divemaster course now Julian?

Chris and Debbie also completed their EFR refresher as did our own Pete. Congratulations to all.

After their five weeks in the pool and a great weekend at Capernwray Sonia got her Scuba Diver qualification and Gaberieli his Open-Water certification. Well done to both of you. We look forward to seeing you back in the water with us.

Our last Open-Water course before Christmas is coming to an end. Book now for the next course – we have a few places left. Also very early in the New Year we’ll be running another EFR and Rescue Diver course, Deep, Enriched Air and Wreck specialties – we’ll be posting the dates on the web-site soon.

First Open Water Course Complete!

1st September 2008

Well – we’ve now completed Premier Diving’s first Open Water course. We had five pool sessions over a month or so then finished off at Capernwray on 30/31 August.

Everyone passed the course – so congratulations to Ed, Steph, Carole and Ian. They are now looking forward to pleasure diving on the holidays they have already booked at Sharm and the Maldives.

Our next pool session starts on Wednesday 17th September – we still have spaces on the next Open Water course. We’re about to start a Rescue Diver and Emergency First Response Course so give us a call or email to book on. We will run Discover Scuba Diving sessions every Wednesday – contact us to reserve your space.

More advanced training such as Rescue and Divemaster are also offered.
